Last day of work!

Well, mostly. Kathy managed to wrap up all her stuff and be done. I have a little bit more to do, but it FEELS like the first day of Christmas vacation.

For those of you who don't know what Sydney looks like in the Australian spring, see this nice photo of the Opera House. It looks like a Martian sandstorm. Hopefully, this abates before we arrive next week!

We planned this photo trip before scheduling our sabbatical to Australia and New Zealand and then ended up with only 2 weeks between the trips. Great opportunity to break in hiking boots and a new camera - Canon EOS 5D Mark II. The secret to good photos - no sleep. Arise well before sunrise and stay up well after sunset so you're ready for the magic light. This was taken a few minutes after sunrise in Monument Valley.
